So your dog wandered onto the wrong side of a skunk’s territory, and now the poor pooch smells to high heaven. Time to douse him in gallons of tomato juice, right? Think again – ridding your dog of an unfriendly skunk’s stench is simpler than those old wives’ tales would have you believe.

It’s easy to see how the tomato juice myth got started. The odor of skunk spray is actually an oil secretion containing smelly chemicals. Adding a new strong scent like tomato juice will convince a pet owner that he no longer smells skunk odor. The truth is, tomato juice’s strong scent desensitizes the human nose, so that you don’t smell the odor – but it will not get rid of it. You could do this yourself by mixing hydrogen peroxide, baking soda and liquid soap, but you run the risk of bleaching your dog’s fur or any fabrics the peroxide touches.

That’s where Nature’s Miracle Skunk Odor Remover comes in. This special formula was created specifically to solve the unique problems created by canine misadventures with Pepe le Pew and his friends. Its natural enzymes break down the skunk’s oil and rid your dog of the scent for good, without bleaching fur, furniture or carpet. The convenient size is exactly what you need to do the job, and the application is easy. Just pour the product onto your dog’s body and rub it into his coat. Around the face and eyes, which are typically the main target of a defensive skunk, carefully rub the product onto the fur using a cloth, avoiding the eyes, nose and mouth. Leave the product on for 10 minutes and then bathe your dog as usual. Sometimes more than one application is necessary.

Skunk odor, solved with Nature’s Miracle.

Your pet, sweet as he is, made a mess. Luckily, you have your trusty bottle of Nature’s Miracle Stain & Odor Remover handy, so you know the stain and the smell will be eliminated soon.

However, to make sure the mess is completely removed, it’s important to use Nature’s Miracle properly – a quick “spray-wipe-and-run” might appear to take care of business, but in reality, you’ve only scratched the surface of the problem. Here’s how to REALLY get to the root of the problem of your pet’s nasty leave-behind.

First, get as much of the stain or odor as possible off the floor (or furniture.) If it’s urine, blot it up with a paper towel; for mud, feces or vomit, dispose of as much of the solid matter as possible. Next, always test an inconspicuous spot of your carpet or furniture for color fastness before using Nature’s Miracle (and never use it on leather, silk or suede.) Then, pour Nature’s Miracle Stain & Odor Remover directly onto the area at full strength – no diluting needed. For carpet, use enough to completely saturate the area and soak through to the padding and subfloor. A good rule of thumb is that a one-square-foot area will need a pint of Nature’s Miracle; a four-square-foot area will need a quart. If your carpet is soaking wet, you’ve probably used enough. Allow it to sit for about 20 minutes, and then blot the product up. For a tough stain, use a bristle brush to rub the Nature’s Miracle in before blotting.

Now a little patience is required. It’s very important that you allow the carpet to dry naturally – no fans or heat to speed it up. By the time the carpet is dry the stain and odor should be completely eliminated. If it’s not, you might have missed an area, so it should be re-treated.

Hard floors like hardwood, linoleum and cement are also very easy to clean up using Nature’s Miracle Dual Action Hard Floor Stain & Odor Remover. Just blot or pick up as much of the mess as possible, and then spray the area with the Hard Floor product. Let it sit for about 20 minutes, and then blot it up.

For extra-tough, set-in stains, you’ll want Nature’s Miracle Advanced Stain & Odor Formula, our most advanced formula incorporating the best-performing cleaning technologies. There’s even a Nature’s Miracle Just for Cats – while our original formula will work on feline messes, Just for Cats is specially formulated to treat more concentrated cat urine.

With Nature’s Miracle, spring cleaning is cleaner than ever!

The holidays are a popular time to adopt a new puppy into the family. If your family has a furry new member, you’re likely wondering, “What’s next?” You’re already in love with this adorable little fellow who follows you around, chews on everything he can get his teeth on, and – oops – uses any available surface for his potty.

Teaching your puppy good manners is essential to helping everyone make the transition to a loving, healthy pet environment, and a great place to start is that “potty problem.” Housebreaking a puppy isn’t as hard as you may think – and Nature’s Miracle is here to help.

Perhaps the easiest way to teach a dog to eliminate outside is through the use of puppy pads like Nature’s Miracle Training Pads, which are treated with a grass scent that will encourage an inside/outside potty association, as well as with our On Spot™ pheromones, which work to attract him to the pad. Housebreaking can be “broken down” into two primary elements: praise, and consistency. Much like a child, your puppy needs reinforcement when he does well, and consistent communication of the rules he’s expected to follow.

Start by choosing a carpet-free area near the door you will most often use to let your dog out. Next, remember that puppies piddle and poop often; take your puppy to the pad every time he wakes up, after eating or drinking, and anytime he starts sniffing the floor.

Every time your puppy uses the training pad, give him plenty of praise, including a verbal “Good boy!,” a good pet and scratch, and maybe even a treat. Make it clear that he’s pleasing you by using the pad. Every time he has an accident away from the pad, give him a firm “No!” in a low, serious voice. Immediately transfer him to the pad so he understands what he did wrong and where to potty next time.

Nature’s Miracle also offers several products to train your dog faster, such as our Housebreaking “Go Here” spray, which uses attractant pheromones to encourage dogs to eliminate where you want them to, and Off-Limits Pet Block Repellent Spray, which is formulated to keep pets away from treated areas.

Before you know it, your puppy will be a fully-integrated, well-mannered member of the family. Congratulations on your new addition!

Whether dog or cat, fish or fowl, pets are among their owners’ very best friends. They love us unconditionally, and we love them back, taking care of their every need and protecting them from all sorts of danger. But it’s easy to forget that sometimes we need to protect ourselves and our families too.

Any animal carries the potential to expose people to zoonotic germs and viruses – diseases that are indigenous to animals but can be transmitted to humans. These include Lyme disease, tapeworms, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, salmonella and many bacterial infections. Rarely (but still possibly) your pet could carry rabies, plague, Q fever and even anthrax. Cats are well-known for transmitting toxoplasmosis, which is deadly for unborn babies, and children who live in households with pets are more likely to develop strep infections from their regular exposure to loving slurps from a dog or cat.

That’s why Nature’s Miracle has developed the most cutting-edge broad-spectrum disinfectant: our Ultra Disinfectant Cleaner. Using the newest technology in the formulation of combination cleaning agents, such as detergents and solvents, along with hospital-level antimicrobial ingredients that effectively and quickly kills infectious microorganisms, Nature’s Miracle Ultra Disinfectant works as a disinfectant, a cleaner and a deodorizer. It kills germs and viruses in less than three minutes, the fastest of an over-the-counter product available. Better yet, it’s people- and pet-safe when used as directed, working only against those micro-organisms that can wreak such scary havoc on our health. It’s easy on the environment and conveniently ready-to-use, no pre-cleaning or mixing needed. In fact, until now Nature’s Miracle Ultra Disinfectant was only available to veterinarians’ offices. It leaves a fresh, clean scent and is safe to use anywhere your pet goes.

Does grooming your dog seem like more trouble than it’s worth? Think again – pet grooming is much more than making sure your dog looks good; it’s also vital to ensure long-term health. A regular bath keeps your dog‘s skin and coat clean and clear. Dirty, oily skin will cause your pet to itch; leading them to scratch, lick and bite problem areas to get relief. All that agitation then leads to bald patches and even painful sores, resulting in a much bigger problem that could have been prevented through routine bathing. Understandably odors lurk in dirty, matted coats but did you know that poor hygiene can also hide Fleas and Ticks!

Fortunately, bathing your pet isn’t as hard as it may sound. Success boils down to one thing: the right shampoo. Never use “people” shampoo on your pet; because it’s formulated for human hair, it will not clean your dog’s coat properly and may even trigger an allergic reaction. While there’s no shortage of pet shampoos on the market, most are too heavy and leave behind a soapy residue that will irritate your dog’s skin and keep his coat from looking its best.

Nature’s Miracle offers a full line of dog grooming shampoos created specifically for pet grooming issues; whether your dog has sensitive skin, dry skin, or shedding problems, there’s a shampoo that will work for you. For an enhanced at home grooming experience follow your shampoo routine with Nature’s Miracle Ultra-Nourishing Protein Conditioner, the formula provide superior hydrating properties for a truly silky, beautiful coat. If your dog is hard to bathe or injured, try the Ultra Cleanse No-Rinse Formula, just spray on and wipe off, no water is required! All Nature’s Miracle grooming products utilize our unique Pro-Lift Enzyme Action formula, which lifts dirt and oil from skin and coat then rinses free, leaving behind nothing but your dog’s sweet self. With scents like honeysuckle & jojoba, lavender chamomile and rosemary & mint, they will smell as amazing as they look– and feel.

Sneezing, stuffy nose, watery eyes, skin rashes and worse … these are the typical symptoms of allergies, which plague millions of Americans every day. While allergies can occur in reaction to everything from food to dust and pollen, about 10 percent of the U.S. population suffers from animal allergies (primarily from dogs and cats).

Contrary to popular belief, animal hair is generally NOT the culprit for animal allergy symptoms. In dogs and cats, it’s most often a substance called “dander” – scales of dead skin that are constantly shed by all mammals. Dander is similar to dandruff in humans, but much smaller, so small that it can’t be seen with the naked eye. Because it’s so tiny and weighs so little, pet dander can stay airborne for hours, just waiting for you to breathe it in and let it do its dirty work. It floats around carrying all sorts of allergens derived from your pet’s saliva, urine or oils on its skin. Dander can also be transported on clothing and gets trapped in carpets, mattresses and furniture. Even if pets are removed from an environment, allergy sufferers often find that they continue to deal with symptoms.

Finally, pet allergy sufferers can breathe easy. Nature’s Miracle Allergen Reducer eliminates allergens by breaking down the materials that cause them – all those nasty, sticky substances that adhere to dander. Our Allergen Reducer’s unique formula includes special ingredients that deactivate the proteins in pet allergens, rendering them harmless. And as with all Nature’s Miracle products, Nature’s Miracle Allergen Reducer is safe to be sprayed on pet beds, blankets, clothing, bedding, upholstery and anywhere dander might lurk.

If your stuffy head is creating a conflict with your love for your furry friend, give Nature’s Miracle Allergen Reducer a try.

No matter how much we love our pets, no one loves cleaning up their messes. Whether the dog couldn’t quite hold until you got home or the cat’s tummy is upset from chewing on houseplants again, Nature’s Miracle has a product that will make your messes no more.

One of the most common and (literally) stomach-turning pet messes is – well, pet puke. But we’ll call it vomit for politeness’ sake. Obviously pet vomit contains the content of your pet’s stomach prior to its expulsion: food. You’re cleaning proteins, starches, fats, and sometimes plant matter or even hair, particularly with long-haired cats. The most effective way to remove stains and odors from pet vomit is to use a product specifically designed for the mess you’re tackling.

For a fresh stain discovered soon after it’s made, try Nature’s Miracle Stain & Odor Remover. Its special enzymes work with the organic nature of the stain to break it down and completely eliminate all traces with little effort.

If the mess has been sitting for a while and has dried up, it requires a little more work. Nature’s Miracle Oxy Stain & Odor Remover contains hydrogen peroxide, which lifts and separates the stain from the surface it sits on, making it easy to wipe up. Use this to break the stain up and get it loose from the floor or furniture.

For really tough, set-in stains and odors, there’s Nature’s Miracle Advanced Stain & Odor Remover, the granddaddy of all pet mess cleaning agents. The Advanced formula deeply cleans all traces of the mess, and uses our Pet-Block System to eliminate pheromones and prevent re-soiling.

For cats, check out the Nature’s Miracle “Just for Cats” line, which is specifically formulated to handle feline messes.
